Why Make an Animated Demo Video?
A visual story is always more appealing and entertaining than the written word. So if your website only has text and a few static images, you are not connecting with your audience. Text and photos can only go so far. A video with moving images, strong narration and dynamic animation can effectively explain your message and reach a wider group of people; which will in-turn bring more unique traffic to your website.
What if I Don’t Have a Script for My Demo Video?
A demo video, like any movie or play, is only as good as its script. But, where to start? Below is a list of five questions. Your answers will provide me with an outline of the information needed to write a script for your demo video.

If you’re a law student, you study a lot of legal opinions. But there isn’t always time to read them all. Maybe you read a case but you’re not totally sure you understand it. So you turn to Google to find more information and if you’re like me, you’ll come across blogs written by other students, riddled with lots of sketchy looking ads, or maybe a Wikipedia page that’s a mile long. How to Write a 1-Minute Website Video Script
I have never thought of myself as a writer. I am an educated man. College graduate, barely. But writer, no. I don’t even write in complete sentences. However, I have produced enough 1-minute website videos to know if a script will work or not.
Mark Twain once said when asked to give a talk, “if you want me to talk for an hour, I am ready now. If you want me to talk for just 10 minutes, I will need a few days”.

PowerPoint?! Uhg! Let’s face it, designers hate Powerpoint. Most everyone hates PowerPoint. However, it has become the de facto business communication tool. The problem is not everyone can make the jump from verbal expression to effective visual expression. As a result, we blame the software. But, if used correctly even PowerPoint can deliver a powerful message. Now imagine this effective PowerPoint presentation on steroids.
How Many Hours Will It Take?
Clients often ask something like, “how many hours will it take you to create a 1-minute video?”, “…a 3-minute video?”, or “…a 10-minute video?” Well, there is no standard answer; no rule-of-thumb. Each minute of finished video does not equal a fixed amount of production time. Sometimes, I wish it did. It would certainly make it a whole lot easier to estimate project costs. But that gets into price lists, standardization, no substitutions, and most likely no creativity. Who wants that?
How Does This Work?
I get this question a lot from clients. I want clients to rest assured that I do not simply take on a project, put together a completed video and say here ya go! Not at all. The video production process I follow is very collaborative every step of the way. In fact, I can’t do it on my own. I need input and feedback from my clients. So, in a nutshell, here is my process:
